PsychoTHerapy & PSychoanalysis

In my practice, I offer psychodynamic therapy and psychoanalysis for adults and couples. Psychodynamic therapy (and psychoanalysis) is an evidenced-based practice (see link on this page) focused on promoting self-understanding and reflective capacity that helps to address common mental health problems (anxiety, depression, trauma), relationship problems (with partners, parents, children), and, in this way, contributes to enhancing one’s quality of life. I particularly enjoy working with and am helpful to individuals who are curious about how their mind works and how their relational patterns influence their sense of self in relation to others.

Some individuals can benefit from and make use of a more intensive therapeutic engagement. Psychoanalysis is a more intensive treatment that involves increased frequency of sessions and allows for the exploration of the deeper, more unconscious, dimensions of who you are and the problems that you bring to therapy. Individuals engaging in psychoanalysis find that they are able to work on their problems with more depth, understand how their concerns arise in therapy (i.e., transference), attend to dreams and other unconscious meanings, and work through issues in a more thoroughgoing way compared to traditional psychotherapy.

Individual sessions are $220 – $270 and I am an In-Network provider for Anthem Blue Cross and Aetna. For all other insurance I am considered an Out of Network provider and am able to provide a super bill for our sessions.
